Is it time you tried Modelling?

I’d like to begin this post by dedicating it to my little superstar Holly who inspired me to write it. Holly is an energetic little 7-year-old and a typical child in every way, she shows what all children do much more effectively than many of us adults and I felt it was a reminder that was worth writing [...]

How to change the world one person at a time…

The universe we live in like the heart above has been described as holographic in nature by many researchers including Stephen Talbot in his book The Holographic Universe.  Gregg Braden describes it as the Divine Matrix and Lynne McTaggart calls it The Field.  Max Planck, whose research inspired the hit movies The Matrix describes the nature of [...]

Boy, 5, saved after doctor plays space invaders on kidney stones blasting them with lasers

As I read this headline in today’s edition of the Mail online I was delighted. I thought the story was going to be about the mind-body connection and how using visualisation can seriously improve your health.

This particular story wasn’t though I am still blessed to have read it as it highlights how the belief, courage and intention of one man can change the world.

It’s the Thought that counts..

Here’s a little question for you? When you get a runny nose, what’s your first thought?

Is it:-

a) I’ve got a runny nose
b) Think I’m coming down with something
c) That’s because someone sneezed near me, I got my hair wet, I wasn’t wearing my lucky pants or some other link you’ve created around catching the cold.

Unless you answered a) to the above question, chances are you’ll very quickly go on to develop a full blown cold in the time it takes to get the hankies out.

Our up-bringing has taught us how to identify symptoms and give them a label in order for us to provide treatment for the symptoms. By doing this you may inadvertently be making yourself ill. What if a runny nose was simply that and not a sign of worse to come?

The Power of Play

Psychologists have long known that play has a positive role to play in the lives of both children and adults. Play benefits us in many ways including increasing joy, laughter, creativity and reducing stress. It also helps build and develop key life skills like Decision Making, Empathy, Trust, Risk-Taking, Hand-Eye Co-ordination, Co-operation, Imagination and Problem Solving.

Now we see that gaming may have even more to offer than we originally thought and that the evolution of the human race may be in the hands of gamers, quite literally! And if all that’s not enough, gamers may turn out to be the saviours of the planet.
